Last week I mentioned the first thing you should look for in a lawyer: competence.
The second quality is: Commitment. There are several aspects to it.
First, you want a lawyer that is committed to you and winning your case, whether your case is big or small. In our personal injury cases, we work very hard to recover as much compensation as possible for our clients. This includes compensation for medical bills, lost income and pain and suffering.
Second, you want a lawyer who will demonstrate loyalty to you and your interests.
Third, you want a lawyer who will give you his or her independent judgment about your case and your options.
Fourth, you want a lawyer who won't recommend unfavorable terms or conditions just because it's easier for the lawyer.
And fifth, you want a lawyer who will zealously and diligently advance your interests.
All of these qualities add up to commitment.
