Two Baltimore residents died in separate Maryland auto accidents two days apart from one another.
The first accident occurred in the early morning of Tuesday, November 15 on the Beltway.
Lemuel Edward Johnson, 46, was driving from Interstate 695 onto the on-ramp toward Interstate 795 at around 6 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle. The car slid down an embankment, over a guardrail and overturned, hitting a tree.
Johnson, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are unsure what caused the accident.
A second Baltimore man died Thursday, November 17 when the moped he was driving through Temple Hills in Prince George’s County collided with another vehicle.
James Farmer, 56, was driving southbound along the 7400 block of Temple Hill Road around 6:40 a.m. when he collided with a white Chevrolet Cruze.
A Prince George’s County police investigation shows that Farmer apparently veered into oncoming traffic in the northbound lane; however, why he did so is unknown.
The impact of the crash ejected Farmer from the moped. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released the name of the female driving the Chevrolet that was involved in the crash. They are still investigating the accident; no charges have been filed. Neither speed nor alcohol is suspected at this time.
The Rockville car crash lawyers at Nickelsporn & Lundin offer their sincere condolences to the family and friends of those who lost their lives in these tragic accidents.
